Trashbot

The Project

An interactive component in the Cooper Hewitt Museum's "See, Hear, Play: Designing with Sound" exhibition

The Work

Open from October 13, 2017 to July 29, 2018, at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York, NY, See, Hear, Play: Designing with Sound" introduced visitors - especially young visitors - to concepts of sound design in a fun, interactive format.
Trashbot is an iPad-based exercise in designing the perfect beeps and boops to accompany the activities a fictional trash-eating robot.
Solertium's role was to bring the experience to the iPad and provision it to survive several months of demanding public contact, and also to bring the experience to the Web for archival reference.
You can try it out yourself. Ready to design your own Trashbot?
